Children of God vs Children of the Devil

I John 2:29 NKJV

[29] If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

I John 3:7-8a NKJV

[7] Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous [8a] He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.

I John 3:8b-10 NKJV

[8b] For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. [9] Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. [10] In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother...

John's teachings reflect Jesus's. You can tell that John was discipled by Jesus. 

John 8:44 NKJV

[44] You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.  

John 10:10 NKJV

[10] The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 

He who is born of God are the children of God, and the children of God:

1) practice righteousness;

2) do not sin;

3) loves his brother;

4) are manifest by practicing

    righteousness and loving his brother. 

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥 

He who sins is of the devil, and the children of the devil:

1) do not practice righteousness;

2) do not love his brother;

3) murders/kills;

4) lies;

5) steals;

6) destroys.

This is why the Satan has come. 

𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 

Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. He has come so we may have life, and have it more abundantly.

During that time, the devil had free reign. Demon possession, sickness, blindness, disease, etc. Then Jesus came. He bound Satan and plundered his house by casting out demons, healing, and delivering them from the power of darkness and conveying them into His kingdom.

𝐀 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧 

Children of God are to practice righteousness and love his brother. This is manifested by engaging in the battle against the devil and his children. The devil's work is manifested in many ways. Unimaginable evil exists on the earth. Things we are not even aware of. Children of God, engage in the battle, whatever that may look like, however God has called you; however He has gifted you; however He leads you. Let's continue the work Jesus began of destroying the works of the devil and bringing those who are under his bondage of sin to Him so that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. It might also simply mean loving a brother who is under the devil's oppression, in order to help them have the abundant life that God has for them.
