Bibles to the Nations

North Korea, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Eritrea, Iraq, Iran, China, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei, Bhutan,Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Syria, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, Jordan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Egypt, Sudan, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania,Comoros, Cuba, Tunisia.

These nations are categorized as Restricted by The Voice of the Martyrs. The Voice of the Martyrs defines a restricted nation as "countries where government sanctioned circumstances or anti-Christian laws lead to Christians being harassed, imprisoned, killed or deprived of possessions or liberties because of their witness. Also included are countries where government policy or practice prevents Christians from obtaining Bibles or other Christian literature."

That's 39 nations of the world where Bibles are prohibited and Christians are persecuted for having them. And these are only the restricted nations. There are several more nations throughout the regions of Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, the Middle East and South and Central Asia that are categorized as hostile and monitored, meaning Christians are persecuted for their faith and may not have access to Bibles. That equals a large percentage of the world's population who are prevented from having access to Bibles- the living, active word of God.

Our Christian brothers and sisters in these nations are in need of Bibles. Bibles provide spiritual food for spiritual growth. It contains God's word which provides comfort when they are afraid, sick or lonely. They need Bibles for teaching and discipling other Christians and for rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

They also need Bibles to give to the men and women they are sharing Christ's love with- people who may not have ever heard the Gospel and who may otherwise spend their eternal existence in hell. These precious people who are loved by God are in desperate need of God's word and we should be desperate to get them into their hands.

God has strategically placed people within these nations to carry and distribute His word. Through Christians who already live within these nations and through international missionaries, Bibles can be put into the hands of people who do not have access and people's souls can be saved for eternity.

The Voice of the Martyrs smuggles Bibles for believers into nations where Bibles are restricted. Biglife provides Muslim Outreach Bibles in many of these same nations to Muslims who want to learn more about who Jesus really is.

If you would like to help get Bibles into these nations, please visit The Voice of the Martyrs or Biglife.
