Prayer of Adoration and Supplication for God's People and Kingdom to Come and Will to Be Done, On Earth As It Is In Heaven

Heavenly Father,

You have given Jesus all authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus is Lord and King. He is the Head over all things, and all things have been placed under His feet, and you have delivered all things to Him. He is great, and the Son of the Highest, who sits on the throne of His father David at your right hand reigning over the house of Jacob and your eternal kingdom. You have exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every other name. At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord. He is seated far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

According to your word, He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet, the last enemy destroyed being death. When He puts an end to all rule, all authority, and all power, then He will hand the Kingdom over to you, God the Father.

You have rescued your people from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son you love, in whom we have been redeemed by the forgiveness of sins. Being in Christ and members of His body, you have given your people the authority of Christ, and have authorized them to be His ambassadors, acting on His behalf while He is away. In Christ, your people have authority over all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named.

In light of Christ's authority, I pray that we walk in confidence, living according to your ways, unafraid of enemies of God who mock and seek to insult, harm, or destroy your people. By grace, you have given your people what we need to endure suffering and persecution, and promise us salvation and eternal life in Christ. Therefore I pray that we live unafraid of suffering, persecution, and death, because death has no sting for God's people. Having been conveyed into His Kingdom as citizens of heaven and strangers and foreigners of the world, I pray that we work together as one body, and as ambassadors of Christ, seeking first the kingdom of God, faithfully and diligently praying and working for your kingdom to come and for your will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven. As one body I pray that we faithfully and diligently work to hasten the day of Christ's return, so that He will put an end to all rule, power and authority which is not aligned with Him, and establish love, justice, and righteousness on the earth so that He can deliver the Kingdom over to you, and you can dwell with your people who worship you as God. We will be your people, and you will be our God. May your kingdom come and your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
