Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done, On Earth As It Is In Heaven - The Authority of Christ

Matthew 6:10 NIV
[10] your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Luke 1:31–33 (NKJV): And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.”

Matthew 28:18 NIV
[18] Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

John 3:34–35 (NKJV): 35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand

Matthew 11:27 (NKJV): 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.

I Corinthians 15:24-28 NKJV
[24] Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. [25] For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. [26] The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. [27] For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. [28] Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

Philippians 2:9–11 (NKJV): 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Ephesians 1:19–23 (NKJV): and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
22 And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Colossians 1:13-14 NIV
[13] For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, [14] in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
-------------------------
Jesus has been given all authority by God the Father. Jesus is Lord and King. He is the Head over all things, and all things have been placed under His feet, and delivered to Him by the Father. He is great, and the Son of the Highest who sits on the throne of His father David at the right hand of God, reigning over the house of Jacob and His eternal kingdom. God has exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every other name. At the name of Jesus, every knee should bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is the Lord. Jesus is seated far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

He must reign until He has put all enemies under His feet, the last enemy to be destroyed will be death. When He puts an end to all rule, all authority, and all power, then He will deliver the Kingdom to God the Father.

God has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom we have been redeemed by the forgiveness of sins. Being in Christ and members of His body, we have the authority of Christ and are His ambassadors acting on His behalf while here on earth. In Christ, His people have authority over all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named.

In light of Christ's authority, we should walk in confidence, living according to God's ways, unafraid of God's enemies who mock and seek to insult, harm, or destroy God's people. We should live unafraid of death, because death has no sting for God's people. Having been conveyed into His Kingdom as citizens of heaven and strangers and foreigners of the world, together we should live as ambassadors of Christ, seeking first the kingdom of God, faithfully and diligently praying and working for God's kingdom to come and for His will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven. As one body we should faithfully and diligently work to hasten the day of Christ's return, so that He will put an end to all rule, power and authority which is not aligned with Him, and God's justice and righteousness will be established on the earth, and Christ can deliver the Kingdom to God the Father.
