The Greatest Commandment

There was once a great Teacher who lived among the people whom His Father greatly loved. He was very, loving, caring and wise.

People came to him from everywhere, seeking His love, wisdom and advice.

There was another man who lived in the city where the Teacher lived - one of whom the Teacher's Father loved.

The man was highly educated, had a good job, and made a lot of money.

However, even with all these things, the man was not satisfied on the inside. He felt empty and like his life was meaningless.

One day, a man came and asked the Teacher a very important question.

He asked, "Teacher, what must I do to live forever?".

The Teacher asked the man, "How do you interpret the law?"

The man responded, "Love God and love others".

The Teacher said, "You are correct. Do it, and you will live. These are the greatest commandments".

One day, after the Teacher had gone away, He returned to meet with the small group of men whom He had taught before leaving.

The Teacher said to them, "You must go and teach others everything that I have taught and commanded you. And I am with you always, even until the end".
