Somewhere, right now

Somewhere, right now, there is hardly a handful of food for a family to share. Some may not have eaten in days. A child lies dying from hunger.
Somewhere, right now, a woman is spending most of her days filling jugs of dirty water from a small lake where all the locals, including the wildlife, go for water. She will take the water home for her family to drink. They all suffer from water-borne illnesses, diseases and diarrhea from drinking the water. None of them will live long.
Somewhere, right now, a woman is making a very difficult decision. She doesn't know how she's going to survive herself, let alone raise up her children. She is trying to decide if she should sell her children, not for the money, but to give them a better life.
Somewhere, right now, a father is struggling to pay the bills because he lost his job. Soon, they will lose their house. His wife and kids will have to go without gifts this Christmas. He doesn't know what to do. He is contemplating suicide.
Somewhere, right now, a 12 year old girl is crying. She is alone. She is ashamed. She has HIV/AIDS. She was sold into sex trafficking when a man that she trusted promised her a better life. She has no way out. She is a sex slave.
This is reality, today, right now. Where are you, right now?
