Kingdom Vision

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:18‭-‬20

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:14

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.

Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:1‭-‬4

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

II Peter 3:11-12

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

Hebrews 8:10

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?”

When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you who do not believe.”

For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him.

And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.

John 6:60‭-‬66

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.

Then he who had received the five talents went and traded with them, and made another five talents. And likewise he who had received two gained two more also. But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his Lord’s money.

After a long time the Lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’

He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ His Lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.’

“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’

“But his Lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Matthew 25:14‭-‬30

Here are some important things for us to consider as we carry out our assignment:

It is the Landowner's vision for every person, every people and every place to hear about His Heir.

We are instructed by Him to go and multiply by making Him known to others and teaching them to obey everything that He commanded us.

His reason for having us do this is so that everyone has the opportunity to hear about Him because He wants to know them and because He wants them to know Him. That is His purpose for making them.

As people hear about the Heir, they enter into the Landowner's vineyard which continues to grow as they multiply from place to place, until the whole world hears.

After everyone hears, the Heir will return to rule over the vineyard forever, and after the judgement, all of His servants will join Him.

At that time, everything will be made new. There will be no more evil, no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more suffering. There will be peace and righteousness over all the earth.

We have been assigned to "hasten the coming of the day". That means we are to cause the day to come by making it known to others who the Heir of the vineyard is.

He made people to know Him and to live for Him. He made them in order to be His own people and to be their King.

They need to know that so that they can have the opportunity to decide whether or not they will submit to Him as their Master.

Even if they decide not to submit to Him, He is still the King. They might not accept it, refuse to believe it, or decide that the cost is too high, but their refusal does not negate the fact that all authority has been given to Him.

If He is refused because of lack of belief, or someone chooses not to follow Him  because the cost is too high, we need to not take it personally or get discouraged. It is better for them not to follow at all, than to not be fully committed to Him and fall away.

It is hard work, but the reward of our inheritance will be well worth it. Those who are more faithful to carry out the assignment will receive a greater reward than those who bury and hide what they have been given.

So be encouraged! Your work for the Landowner and His vineyard is not in vain! You will reap an abundant harvest of good fruit and the reward for your efforts!
