Christ's Hope International's Ride for Hope: Lake Victoria

Ride for Hope: Lake Victoria, Africa

From June 14-23, 2017, 22 cyclists- a.k.a.Team CYCLEBREAKER- will participate in Christ's Hope International's Ride for Hope: Lake Victoria. The Ride for Hope is about 600 miles in length along the North and East sides of Lake Victoria, starting in in Kampala, Uganda and finishing in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Along the way, Team CYCLEBREAKER will visit Christ's Hope International's Ministry CarePoints located in Kampala, Kisumu and Kenya to see how Christ's Hope is helping children break the cycle of AIDS and poverty in their lives. Ministry CarePoints are strategically located in areas of sub-Saharan Africa with high HIV infection rates and are Christ’s Hope International’s primary point of care and ministry to children and families in need.These centers serve the most vulnerable and marginalized children with physical, mental, social and spiritual care.Through Ministry CarePoints, Christ’s Hope provides the tools, training and assistance necessary to ensure that vulnerable children can live with extended or foster families to ensure family preservation.

Please take time to pray for Christ's Hope International, the Ride for Hope: Lake Victoria and especially for the children and families living in these areas who are suffering from HIV and AIDS:

1. Pray that God is glorified and His name is made known
2. Pray for the safety of the 22 cyclists from Team CYCLEBREAKER who are participating in the Ride for Hope: Lake Victoria
3. Pray for the local African community to get involved with helping to break the cycle of AIDS and poverty
