A Call For Mercy

Living in America, it is hard for us to really understand the extent of the persecution that Christians around the world face on a daily basis.  We may face some hardships in our lives when it comes to our faith but we are rarely ever threatened or punished with the death penalty for declaring our faith or refusing to denounce our faith.  But that is exactly what is happening right now over in Pakistan and in other nations and we need to do our part as Christians to try and help our brothers and sisters when they cry out for help.

Right now a Call For Mercy is being asked for Asia Bibi who has been convicted of blasphemy and sentenced to death in Pakistan.  More than 150,000 Christians in Pakistan have signed a petition demanding justice for persecution victims including Asia Bibi.  The hope is to gather 1 million signatures on behalf of our Christian sister Asai, who now sits in prison awaiting the Lahore High Courts ruling on her appeal.
